Indian Teacher Praised For Using Refrigerator Tray For Online Class, See Why

As schools and colleges across India continue to adopt online classes amid the coronavirus pandemic, some teachers are using innovative techniques to teach their students. Such innovative ideas are also going viral, receiving praises from the internet community.

There was a video of a schoolteacher from Pune, a city in the Indian State of Maharashtra, recently released showing the teacher using a clothes hanger and two pieces of rope to create a makeshift tripod for recording lectures had gone viral online.

Another woman’s innovative method to make learning easy for her students has also gone viral. The creative teaching method also called jugaad has attracted huge praise and appreciation on social media.

On Saturday, a Twitter user took to the microblogging platform to share a picture of a teacher using a transparent refrigerator tray for her online class. After balancing the tray on two containers, she put her smartphone on top of it and was photographed solving a problem on a piece of paper kept on the table below. The innovative hack, which removed the need for her to hold her phone in one hand and also allowed students to view the problem as she solved it, has been widely lauded on social media.

Since being shared on Twitter, the picture has collected over 4,400 ‘likes’ and hundreds of ‘retweets’ and comments. Many praised the teacher for coming up with the jugaad.
