A woman received the shock of her life when she took delivery of a water bottle she ordered online only to find urine inside it.
The furious mum said she was sick after claiming she found urine at the bottom of a brand new £7 water bottle from, reports Mirror UK.
Sarah Starr treated her daughter to the pink Super Sparrow container after placing an order online.
But she vomited after it arrived in the post to her Bristol home, suggesting it had a murky, yellow liquid inside.
The 36-year-old says there is ‘no question’ it was urine – and the delivery giants are investigating.
Images show the bottle in its plastic wrapping, with the fluid clearly visible at the bottom.
Another shows the item out of the packaging and approximately a quarter full of dark liquid.
A horrified Sarah called Amazon to complain, but says they only offered her a £10 voucher and even asked her to dispose of it herself.
Unhappy with the resolution, the business support manager took to Facebook to complain.
She posted a photo of the bottle with the caption: “Just opened this to fill it up with water for school tomorrow, looks like someone got there first Amazon!
“I opened it and it stinks and I was sick. Tried speaking to customer services and said they can refund me.
“Someone has taken a leak in a bottle and all you want to do is refund me.”
The post has revolted social media users.
Friend Tammy Judith wrote: “That’s completely disgusting, how could anyone do that. I actually want to be sick. Hope you are okay.”
Bex Straker added: “That is awful. They should be investigating that, and whoever did it needs sacking.”
Sarah said: “I was getting school stuff ready so opened up the parcel so that I could fill it with water. The box wasn’t damaged or open.
” When I pulled it out of the bag I saw the liquid and because the bottle is pink it looked brown in colour. I was scared to open it.
“First I thought maybe it was tea because I could see a bag inside but looking closer it was one of those gel pack bags to keep the bottle fresh.
“I put my friend on FaceTime when I was opening it and it was tight. You could feel the pressure releasing.
“The stink was vile and I instantly knew it was urine. I was heaving so much I was sick.
She added: “You can tell it’s been in there for a while.
“Amazon instantly blamed their supplier. I’m not happy that they haven’t taken it seriously. I mean who even does that?”
An Amazon spokesperson said: “We are taking this matter seriously and have reached out to the customer to make this right.”
