A new study has revealed that women have a lot to gain from hugs than men.
According to research, a nice embrace, for women at least, can guard against feelings of stress that might develop during the day.
This study was done by researchers in Germany who studied 76 people in romantic relationships and measured levels of the stress hormone cortisol when they hugged.
They were then put through a test designed to raise stress levels.
The researchers found that women who hugged their partners had lower cortisol levels than women who did not, but that there was no change for men.
The Times said this means a morning hug should be a “priority” for women.
So women should try to grab a cool embrace early in the morning to ensure good health. What a cool well to remain healthy.
