Tea Stall in Thailand Goes Viral for Controversial Packaging Option (Video)

A tea stall in Thailand is going viral for the kind of packaging it chose for its tea.

Cha Deen is a small tea stall located in Lam Phlai, Thailand’s Songkhla Province.

This stall has attracted global attention especially through the social media for the unconventional choice of tea packaging it uses.

Though chai tea is sold in clear plastic bags in Thailand and most other Asian countries, this particular packaging option has made a lot of people, including Thais, to raise an eyebrow due to the questionable shape of the bags used by a chai stall in Lam Phlai.

The Cha Deen made use of a custom bag design featuring an appendage that kind of looks like a a male private part. This is clearly different from the standard plastic bags and straws used in packaging tea.

Photos of Cha Deen’s new tea bags recently went viral on Thai social media leading to a variety of reactions from users. Some find the bags offensive, others think they are hilarious, and most agree that it’s a great marketing strategy.

Shortly after photos of the bags just hit social media, Thai news sources report that Cha Deen has already seen a serious uptick in customers.

Cha Deen is known for offering a variety of ice tea flavors, like Thai tea, green tea, cocoa, and Ovaltine.

This particular tea bag has made the tea stall to go global due to the viral nature of the photos on social media.
