Women traditionalists summon ‘Ogun’ (god of iron and war) to get justice for worshippers killed by terrorists in a Catholic church (video)

Last Sunday, June 4, was a gloomy day in Nigeria following an attack by gunmen in a catholic church in Owo, a town in Ondo state, during which over 38 persons were gunned down in cold blood.

Some women in Owo community have gathered to summon “Ogun” (god of iron and war) to get justice for worshippers killed by gunmen in St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa street, Owo, Ondo state.

Local media reported that the state governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu had said 80 persons were victims of last Sunday’s terror attack at St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa street, Owo.

He said 22 people lost their lives to the horrific attack while 52 survivors are on admission at the Federal Medical Center, Owo, St Louis Hospital, Owo and the Owo General Hospital as well as some private hospitals.

But the Bishop of Ondo Diocese, Jude Arogundade, insisted that no fewer than 38 church members died in massacre.

While the politicians and clergymen were battling with statistics of casualties of the incident, women who are strong traditionalists in the town where the incident happened have taken the matter to gods of their land to handle with dispatch.

The women who were visibly angry over the killings, placed some metals on the floor and also poured libations as they invited the god of iron to get justice for them.
