See The World’s First Gold-Plated Chicken Wings Launched By New York Restaurant (Watch Video)

All you chicken lovers out there I don’t think there’s any way this story cannot amaze you! Your lovely delicacy has been taken to a whole new high – Gold Plated Chicken Wings? Yes, it means what you read, gold plated chicken wings.

A restaurant in New York has made history by serving the very first gold plated chicken ever seen.

You may say this is expensive but when you consider the experience of enjoying gold on chicken part, you then know it is worth it.

The baked and fried chicken wing is made liquid gold butter which is the most expensive butter in the world. It is also made with gold dust. It is flavoured with honey buffalo sauce, another very expensive ingredient. Then it is splashed with 24k edible gold dust.  What you see after this final touch is completely amazing and unbelievable to the extent that the man who posted this on his Instagram, the co-creator, Jonathan Cheban, aka ‘Foodgod”, described the experience like this; “My camera’s even trembling, these are so lit….These are unbelievable.”

Created by New York City restaurant ‘The Ainsworth’ in collaboration with socialite and reality TV star Jonathan Cheban, the FOODGŌD 24k Gold Buffalo Wings are the definition of flashy fare. After being soaked in a coconut butter, chipotle, and honey batter for 24 hours, they are deep fried and then tossed into a metallic gold sauce that gives them a shiny, gold-plated look. Finally, they are sprinkled with edible gold dust for extra pizazz.

According to The Ainsworth, these blinged-out chicken wings are available in three price tiers: 10 wings for $30, 20 wings for $60, or – and this is if you really want to show off – 50 wings and a bottle of  Champagne Armand de Brignac for $1,000. Hey, you only live once, right?

The FOODGŌD 24k Gold Buffalo Wings were launched in The Ainsworth’s Chelsea and East Village locations last month, and are scheduled to become permanent fixtures on the restaurant chain’s other locations in the near future.

This really looks amazing but the idea of feeding on gold-plated chicken part sounds really weird.
