Students Get Eggs and Coconut As Prize For Emerging Best In Visual Communication

It was celebration galore as Chioma Chikaogwu, a 400 level Student of Mass Communication was given five eggs and one big coconut as Grand Prize for emerging the overall best in Visual/Non Verbal Communication.

 

The idea behind the eggs, according to massmediang, an online news organization that set up the event, was to commemorate the World Egg Day coming up on Friday, October 12.

You could say the event came a bit earlier than the actual day for celebration of eggs but the plan, according to the organizers, was to create the awareness early enough.

Chioma and 32 of her classmates, all students of Chumwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University  (COOU)  received eggs and coconut for various categories of the award. The winners emerged based on a competition on visual/non verbal communication organized by massmediang, an online news platform that celebrates excellence in communication education using agricultural products.

Some other winners

Over hundred and 20 students participated in the competition but 33 distinguished themselves and met the criteria for receiving the awards.

The event took place on Tuesday at the Francis Oladele stand on Igbariam campus of the University.
