A former Senator, Ben Murray-Bruce, has said he spoke with Ismaila Isa Funtua three hours before he passed on.

Funtua, an ally of President Muhammadu Buhari, died Monday night in an Abuja hospital.

He is believed to have suffered a cardiac arrest.

In a tweet, Murray-Bruce revealed the deceased had promised to call him the next day.

“I am saddened by the death of my brother and senior colleague, Mallam Isa Funtua.

“I spoke to him just three hours before his reported death, and he promised to further call me tomorrow.

“I pray that God comforts his family and loved ones, and may his soul Rest In Peace,” Murray-Bruce tweeted.

Funtua was buried in Abuja on Tuesday.

So you’ve read the story and the first thing that probably came to your mind is “really?”

That’s what many felt when they read the body of the story after seeing that headline. Truly hilarious; You must be like “is this why I wasted data?”

It is called click-bait journalism. At least let this be what you would take away from reading this story on this platform. It is a form of journalism where catchy, sometimes sensational headlines are used a bait to ‘trick’ readers into rushing into a story with much expectations only to get disappointed at the content of that story. What you just read above was one of the most trending stories of the weak and of course, the most disappointing contents of the year. Yet the content is not false. It is called click-bait journalism.
